Cost of Indian MP's | Money spent details per head

Indian Politics is thought as the most dirty political system in whole world and rightly so. With over 70 percent criminals sitting inside house enjoying taxpayers money as allowances and above that thinking that they deserve this allowance for not doing anything....

In this post I would throw some light on amount of Taxpayers money spent on Member of Parliament, Well this is no hidden fact that they purchase votes for coming into power and have nothing to do with educated class of citizens in India as they know they would purchase poors vote and come into power..and then cover up their polling expenses from taxpayers money(which is collected from educated class of citizens), hence broadly people from where MP's earn their livelihood are the ones for which Indian MP's are least bothered. One can recall average assets of 304 MPs who contested in 2004 and then re-contested in 2009 grew 300% SHAME ON MP's.

Here is amount of money spent by people of India on MP's most of them having criminal charges framed against them.

According to latest salary figures of MP's: Indian Members of Parliament voted themselves a threefold hike in their basic salary, from Rs 16,000 to Rs 50,000 and constituency allowance to 40,000 pm add to it stationary allowance of 40000. Indian MPs will thus receive an assured income of Rs 1.3 lakh a month. For many 10th grade people this amount is simply too much....but wait the allowances doesnot end here and it is just a starter in their 3 course fat meal.

MP’s wage is tax-free and comes with additional perquisites such as free petrol, free telephone calls and free housing, some of it in the most expensive real estate in the country’s capital. Most household expenses – furniture, electricity, water, laundry - is also paid for by the State. MPs can travel anywhere in the country by rail, first class, and get 34 free air tickets for themselves or a companion a year. MPs also get a daily allowance of Rs 1,000 per day to attend Parliament ( so they do a walkout everyday...:). MP's pocket Rs 2 crore a year to spend on development of their constituencies as they see fit. Which directly goes to their pockets and hardly come out, they might make their next election expenses from this money....

India is infact a funny country in which Indian MPs have unparalled freedom to fix their own salaries and perks. In France and Japan, salaries of MPs are determined in relation to the salaries of the highest paid bureaucrats. In india Member Parliament who has a defence equipment business is allowed to be on a defence committee which formulates defence policy and a parliamentarian who has aviation interests to be on a civil aviation committee, thereby making policy changes which benefit them individually. Also MP is entitled to pension even if he has spent just one day in Parliament. MP's interest free vehicle loan limit is increased from 100000 to 400000.

This all is given to MP's and their is no appraisal process for checking their performance and making them accountable for thei ill-performance. Is it morally correct?? I dont think so...

Gorakhpur's blood extracting racket busted

It is strange post but true in every sense and word. This news is from Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Indian State where human life of poors have no value. IT HAD BEEN a bad spell for Madhubani painter Hari Kamat, and it was about to get worse. Having had almost no sales for a year, he left his village in Bihar to look for a job and ended up in Gorakhpur, 200 km from Lucknow. He was offered a job as soon as he stepped down from the bus. Two months later, he was fired for no apparent reason. Local “friends” told him they would get him another and better job — all he had to do was go for a blood test. When the results returned, he was told the quality of his blood was so good he needn’t look for regular employment, but could make a living selling his blood, earning somewhere between Rs 500-1000 per unit.

Hari had no way of knowing he was about to fall victim to a well-organised blood trade centred around Gorakhpur’s numerous private hospitals and clinics. A short while later, he was to find himself along with 16 others — 25- to 40-year-old men from across north India — imprisoned in a slum in Shahpur, two km from the Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College. For two-and-a-half years, the men were kept there, fed twice a day, and made to give blood thrice a week. Protest was impossible — the constant depletion of their blood had made them too weak.

The racket was exposed on April 16, when the police raided a house in Chorpuwa slum where one of the victims had been severely thrashed for trying to escape. “It was like a dairy where cows and buffaloes are milked twice a day in return for fodder,” says Gorakhpur Cantonment Circle Officer Viswajeet Srivastava, who is in charge of the case. “The victims told us they had voluntarily sold their blood in the beginning, but later they had been confined and their blood forcibly extracted. They also said that instead of the Rs 500 per day they had been promised, they were paid only Rs 150.”

Ten people involved in the racket have been arrested so far, including Pappu Yadav, in whose house the victims were kept. Jayant Sarkar, who did all the networking with the clinics and the nursing homes, is still absconding. “All the victims had haemoglobin levels less than 4g/dl as against the 15g/dl found in a normal adult male,” says Dr Suresh Mishra of the Civil Hospital where the rescued were admitted. Among them was Durga Prasad who weighed only 21 kilos when he was found. Raju Mohanti, whose blood group is the rare A negative, says his blood was extracted 16 times a month. According to Red Cross norms, an adult can donate blood not more than once in two months. Ramu Sahu, a graduate from Patna University was told he would be paid Rs 200 a day. Like Rustam Khan, who wanted to raise money for his daughter’s wedding, he now knows only too well the depth of how he was duped.

A couple of lab assistants trained in blood transfusion, lower-level hospital staff, touts and local goons comprised this gang that made its living selling the blood of its unemployed and/or illiterate victims. They tracked migrant labourers and job aspirants at the railway and bus stations, and got them temporary jobs to make their goodwill seem genuine. After a month or two, they would get them fired and lure them into selling their blood. Meanwhile, a web of touts around the city’s major hospitals, including the BRD Medical College, Star Nursing Home, Civil Hospital and Anandlok hospital, kept track of patients in dire need of blood.

According to Srivastava, “After a sale, the touts would direct the relatives to take the blood to Mahanagar Diagnostic Centre. There the blood received a stamp, legalising the illegal practice, something the patients’ attendants fail to notice in their hurry to obtain the blood.”

TEHELKA went undercover to Gorakhpur, with its correspondent posing as the relative of a patient who had met with a grave accident. Speaking to a guard at the BRD Medical College, we were told we could buy blood outside Star Nursing Home. When we claimed our inability to do so, he agreed to arrange a unit of blood for Rs 1,200 “on humanitarian grounds”, as opposed to the Rs 96 that is the government rate.

THE GUARD later took us to a middle-aged tout, who called up a person he addressed as Master, apparently a known name in the circle (see box for transcript). We were able to contact Master later, and got to know that he was an ambulance driver. He told us that all four of his “boys” were underground that day because the health minister was visiting the city, but that he would be able to sell us a unit the next morning. full post can be read on tehlka.com follow this link

WHO and Foreign Pharmas might be link

while general surfing the internet today, I came across this article on independent magazine TEHELKA. which exposed how WHO(slave of US pharma companies) is trying to make Indian Government to buy pentavelant vaccines from WHO subscribed pharma majors(majority of USA who might be funding WHO) and stop trivelant vaccination which government is procuring from Indian pharma companies and which have been very effective from last 20-30 years or so...The key point to know here is that according to investigation by TEHELKA, these foreign vaccinations have been reason of deaths of infants in SriLanka and Bhutan.... so here is how the article goes(courtesy TEHELKA.com)

BABIES, THEY say, are a nice way to start people. They are also, it would appear, a nice way to start profit. If the babies are Indian, there’s added allure to the profit because there are so many of them every year. In the days to come, as the denouement of a series of extraordinary events, the Indian government is expected to make a fresh decision on the number of vaccines Indian infants are to be given soon after birth. Much rests on the decision for Indian families and, oddly, the World Health Organisation (WHO), which has made a bizarre push for new vaccines it wants Indian newborns to be given in the country’s public health programme. A decision one way could risk the lives of the country’s babies, because there are doubts on the quality of vaccines the WHO is pitching for; it could push the government into financial commitments it is in no position to meet; it could empty the pockets of people who seek private medical help, and put the nation’s health sector more firmly under the control of agencies outside India.

A decision the other way could force units formerly run by the Indian government to resume full work and make homegrown vaccines; and thrust more expenses on a feeble state wallet, which will need to fund more R&D. This vaccine soup has been stirred by the WHO, which is in the midst of several controversies of late for creating medical scares and then backing drugs to fight them. In the first week of June, the WHO admitted it had failed to disclose conflict of interest for scientists who advised it on the H1N1 influenza pandemic. The response came after a British media report said the WHO had announced a fake pandemic to boost sales for pharmaceutical companies that manufacture antiviral drugs and the H1N1 vaccine. Now, there appear to be the makings of a similar controversy over what may be taking the shape of an Indian vaccine scam. Read full article

From past couple of days Indian media has shown various attacks on Team Anna, This is from "Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena" which is known to PC very well ( wait wait , I know you want proof of what I have just said)....here it is:

Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena has been actively updating it's facebook page whose link is here Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena on fb

And here is proof of their closeness with Homeminister P.Chitambaram: See this photo The photo reveals that P.Chitambaram is well versed with whole Bhagat Singh Kranti Sabha....and it is well known fact that Civil Society is strictly against corrupt Congress people like P.Chitambaram and other who do not want Janlokpal to pass in parliament.

It is also clear that Congress is binded together by orders of Sonia gandhi else they consist of group of cabinet ministers which keep on fighting with each other, So Sonia is currently acting as mother of congress family to stop and prevent fights between ministers going public.
